    Salary:
    $55 - $75 per hour

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team for a 3-4 month contract.

    This exciting role will provide you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the manufacturing industry, where you will be deeply involved in the mechanical design process, from concept to production.

    You will be working with a cross-functional team of engineers and other professionals, utilizing your expertise to bring innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

    Provide expert mechanical design solutions for various manufacturing projects, ensuring that designs meet the functional and performance requirements.
    Utilize advanced engineering tools such as MTBF, FMEA, SolidWorks, and GD&T to develop and evaluate design concepts.

    Lead failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks in the design process and propose effective mitigation strategies.

    Collaborate with other team members to ensure that the mechanical design aligns with the overall project objectives.
    Oversee the prototyping and testing of mechanical components, providing critical feedback and making necessary adjustments to the design.
    Evaluate the reliability of designs using Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) analysis and other relevant methodologies.
    Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.

    Document all design processes, decisions, and evaluations, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded and easily accessible for future reference.

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
    Proficiency in using engineering design and simulation tools such as SolidWorks.
    Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues in the design process.
    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
    Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relating to mechanical design.
    Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
