- Create plans, elevations, and details of structural building components such as staircases/ladders, mezzanines, equipment platforms, moment connections, machine frames, building frames.
- Coordination with project managers, contractors, and field erection crews
- Review structural and architectural drawings and specifications for accuracy
- Structural steel detailing, including stairs, ladders, and railings
- Work alongside project managers to create and submit RFIs
- Review and revise drawings as needed based on engineering calculations, architect notes/instructions, and field conditions
- Adhere to applicable building codes and company design standards. Detail drawings within budgeted man hours
- At least 3 years of related experience is Required.
- Associate degree or technical trade school in related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of steel industry/construction is Preferred.
- TEKLA Structures experience is essential.
- Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is preferred
- Knowledge of AWS (American Welding Society).
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
