MFA Home Office in Roanoke, Va is looking to grow its Medicaid group and is hoping to find an individual who is able to:

• Coordinate claims management for traditional multiple states Medicaid and VA MCO plans using Point Click Care (PCC) and Ability Ease All Payer.


• Serve as a resource for facility Business Office Managers and Regional Business Office Managers regarding claims status. Communicates difficult claim situations to both and help resolve issues.


• Post and reconciles Medicaid EFT remittances weekly and MCO EFT remittances daily. Manually pulls remits from websites as needed.


• Analyze Medicaid and MCO Aging to resolve unpaid claims. Tracks claims from bill date until paid in full.


• Help Business Office Managers and Regional BOMs resolve daily issues with billing, cash batches, claim denials, rebills and adjustments.


• Key and post contractual adjustments per MCD guidelines.


• Research and reconcile insurance takebacks.

The qualified candidate must have a basic knowledge of Medicaid regulations and billing practices. Additionally, this person needs to demonstrate good critical thinking skills, time management and workflow efficiency while also being able to effectively communicate with a wide range of personalities ranging from facility employees, Regionals, Home Office staff and Medicaid / MCO workers. Being able to multi-task is a must.
