    Civil Engineer Job Summary

    The Civil Engineer designs, plans, and supervises site development and infrastructure projects including buildings, bridges, roads, dams, pipelines, water, and sewage systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage field crew activities and consult with stakeholders regarding engineering requirements for construction.
    • Use design software to create accurate designs and communicate with project teams.
    • Assess structural integrity by testing materials and soil.
    • Draft and present reports on project topics such as environmental impact statements.
    • Evaluate project costs and collaborate with architects, surveyors, and contractors.

    Requirements:

    • Civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
    • Proficiency in CAD and other design software.
    • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
    • Problem-solving and communication skills.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
    • Licensure preferred but not required.

    Work Environment:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
    • Frequent travel to project sites.
