- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Accurately document patient encounters, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic medical records or other documentation systems.
- Advising patients on preventative care and optimal health practices
- Ensure quality of tests being performed
- Analyze and interpret test results i.e. stress tests, chest x-rays, echos, EKGs, etc...
- Refer patients for further diagnostic testing as needed
- Relay information between clinics and physicians as needed
- Diploma from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current certification as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure as a physician assistant, with the ability to obtain and maintain prescriptive authority as required
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess a wide range of medical conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
