    Branch Service Specialist Role

    ">

    This role involves working an average of 40 hours per week during our branch hours: Monday-Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday and Friday 9am-6pm, and Saturday 9am-1pm.

    You will be responsible for delivering the desired member experience by performing a broad range of member sales and service functions as well as teller transactions.

    ">

    Your focus will be on listening to identify member needs, asking questions, and cross-selling products and services as effective solutions to build loyal member relationships.

    ">

    As a productive, cooperative, and engaged team member, you will work collaboratively with the branch team to serve members and reach individual and branch team goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    ">
    • Use a consultative approach when serving members, asking high-impact questions to identify and meet member needs.
    • Listen for member cues and use in-depth knowledge of our products and services to cross-sell and offer solutions for member needs.
    • Follow MSGCU's service standards to complete teller transactions and member service responsibilities accurately.
    • Exceed member service expectations and build trusting relationships with members by being the financial expert and showing a sincere interest in their financial success.
    • Use Creating Member Loyalty skills to effectively handle member complaints and resolve issues.
    • Offer Credit Life, Credit Disability, and GAP when identified in our members' best interest.
    • Generate new business by asking for referrals.
    • Maintain familiarity with competitor fees and products and have a general understanding of the current financial environment.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 6 months of experience as a teller in a financial institution or as a retail sales representative/cashier.
    • Either 2 years retail sales experience, Associate degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or Finance, or 1 year of member/customer facing experience within a financial institution.

    Working Conditions

    • Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
    • Required to travel throughout MSGCU's service area in order to support other branches as business needs require.
    • Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Competitive salaries starting at $17.80/hour.
    • Team members in this role are eligible to earn incentives as part of our variable compensation plan.

    • A 3% contribution from MSGCU and a 100% match for the next 7% you contribute to your 401(k).
    • 12 paid holidays and up to 120 hours of PTO your first year of service (pro-rated based on start date).
