    The Events Manager plans and executes all member and community events for the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership.As such, he/she must work collaboratively with a diverse group of co-workers, vendors, and members of the community.The position requires the ability to create and maintain event budgets, organize information, and pay attention to details.A significant workload, independence, and variable hours are inherent requirements of the job.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute annual signature events and monthly networking events from start to finish including post-event reporting.
    • Manage existing sponsorship support and grow sponsorship support for events to achieve desired net revenue generation
    • Support ribbon cuttings, grand openings, and milestone celebrations alongside the sales team.
    • Works collaboratively with team members to enlist assistance as needed for marketing and executing events.
    • Provides input to annual event budget and adheres to approved budget plan.
    • Conducts post-event reviews and analyzes effectiveness in terms of member satisfaction and cost-effectiveness.
    • Creates new or modifies traditional events to meet member needs; works with co-workers to develop new ideas that enhance the member experience.
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time by ERCGP leadership team.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Post-secondary education in business administration, executive office, database management, or related field or related experience.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office programs, contact management, billing systems, and other computer programs
    • Proven customer service skills, including telephone and email communication techniques
    • Excellent grammar, spelling, attention to detail, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work with people from all walks of life with professionalism and diplomacy, good attendance, and timeliness.
