Temporary Assignment
We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll/AP/AR Specialist to join our client on a temporary basis with the potential for long-term growth. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining accurate and efficient payroll operations while managing various accounting responsibilities. This is a great opportunity to step into a pivotal role, with flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setup in South Renton
What You'll be Doing…
· Process bi-weekly payroll for 130 employees, including onboarding, terminations, adjustments, and employee loans.
· Maintain and update payroll systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
· Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
· Generate and audit payroll reports to support financial and operational decisions.
· Collaborate with HR and management to address payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
· Support year-end payroll functions, such as W-2 preparation, ACA reporting, and bonus processing.

· High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
· 3–5 years of experience in payroll and accounting, ideally in fast-paced environments.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and Microsoft Excel.
· Strong knowledge of WA State payroll processing, including tax regulations.
· Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Here's the important details:
· Location: Remote or Hybrid (South Renton, WA, if preferred).
· Position Type: Temporary, 6-month commitment with potential to extend or transition to a permanent role within 9-12 months
· Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible daytime shift, as long as consistent.
· Hourly pay rate: $30-$35 per hour depending on experience.
