Job description
Our well-known retail client is seeking a Project Manager to help their team with a special project 40 hours per week for about 9 months.
They're standing up a new team under creative/content operations for owned storytelling and need a Project Manager to help get this team off the ground.
As Project Manager, you will drive execution across a wide range of work - from always-on programmatic delivery and business-critical maintenance work to complex, cross-functional initiatives and high-stakes, time-sensitive moments.
You'll create clear plans, hold teams accountable to milestones and decisions, manage dependencies and approvals, and ensure details don't slip - especially when timelines are tight or priorities shift.
Core focus areas- Coordinate people + workstreams: owners, milestones, dependencies, handoffs
- Drive clarity + accountability: scope, decisions, approvals, status, risks
- Keep delivery on track: remove blockers, maintain cadence, ensure followthrough
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Own delivery across programmatic, highstakes, and "alwayson" workstreams
- Drive accountability across crossfunctional teams
- Ensure briefs/ deliverable specs are complete and accurate before work moves forward
- Improve delivery reliability over time: identify breakdowns, standardize lightweight templates/checklists
Experience:
- 6+ years in project or program management in communications, content, marketing, newsroom/editorial, or a similarly fastpaced environment.
- Proven success driving delivery across crossfunctional teams with competing priorities holding timelines, managing dependencies, and keeping details tight.
- Experience running alwayson/programmatic workstreams with repeatable cadences, clear communication, and reliable followthrough.
- Demonstrated ability to manage approvals and stakeholder alignment in highvisibility work where accuracy matters.
- Familiarity with creative workflow and project management tools such as Adobe Workfront, Airtable, Asana, Basecamp, Smartsheet, Jira or similar.
