As part of Route One Group, Route One Trailers (ex. Tarp System) is a semi-trailer dealership and we are currently looking for a Trailer Mechanic to join our team in East Dundee, IL.

• Working hours Monday-Friday from 7-30 a.m. till 4-30 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. till 1 p.m.
• Compensation: 20-35 USD per hour
  
  

Your responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on shop and customer trucks and trailers
• Troubleshooting and assessment
• Parts repair and replacement
• Inspection of trailers
• Conduct repairs and adjustments to suspension systems and ensure proper wheel alignment for optimal performance
• Learn and apply skills in the installation and repair of Conestoga systems. Training will be provided
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure working environment
• Execute brake changes, ensuring that all components meet safety standards
  
  

Requirements:

• Welding
• Trailer Maintenance skills
• Tire Change and Brake Change experience
• Working knowledge of ABS
• Basic understanding of tool usage
• Knowledge of Romanian, Russian, and English (B2-C1). Spanish is also preferred.
• Some experience in the trucking industry (preferred but not required)
