- Operate automated and semi-automated machinery.
- Follow directions from scientists, chemists, engineers, and supervisors on developing new calendering techniques and procedures, and be able to update and validate documentation as required.
- Ensure trial specifications are appropriately established and maintained throughout production.
- Setup, operate, and maintain specialized pre-pilot production equipment including calenders, stamping dies, ultrasonic welders, and other industry specific automated equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and work safely with hazardous materials.
- Maintain workspace cleanliness in highly trafficked workspaces. Follow appropriate 5S practices.
- Utilize a methodical approach to problem solving, both independently and as a team, to recognize and implement solutions during trial runs.
- Ensure product quality specifications are appropriately evaluated and maintained throughout production.
- Complete and verify production documentation is filled out completely and accurately.
- Assist in accurately tracking all inventory, supplies, and raw materials.
- 3+ years' experience in a lab or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with hazardous materials, dry powder processes, and wet chemical/slurry and solvent-based operations.
- The candidate will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Rapid learner with attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Preference for experience operating and maintaining semi-automated machinery.
- Experience using PLC controlled robotics a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The candidate must be reliable, responsible, and self-motivated.
- Experience with Microsoft software (excel, teams, outlook etc.) is preferred.
- Availability to work a 2nd shift schedule, which is typically 12:00pm to 8:30pm, Monday through Friday

Description
Position Overview:Solid Power is seeking a Production Operator to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment. This position will work closely with the other production operators / technicians, scientists, and engineers to help set up, operate, tear down equipment used in slurry preparation, coating, electrode fabrication and cell assembly operations.
