    The Service Scheduler/Assistant position is an integral part of the success of our Service Department. Connecting our customers with their needed maintenance and repairs in a timely fashion gives them the best customer experience possible. Interacting with our customers, building relationships and keeping our service technicians busy, results in a robust department Schedule is 8am-5pm M-F starting wage $20/hr.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Service Assistant is responsible for helping with servicing and repairing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager. The Service Assistant will help ensure a safe, clean, and organized work area.This position also assists service advisors and managers with any tasks or projects assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

    Education and/or years' experience required:

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
    Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Mechanical experience preferred.
    • Ability to work with limited supervision.
    • Must be able to manage in a fast paced work environment.
    • Must have great customer service and communication skills.
    Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):
    • No supervisory responsibilities required for this position.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
    • Assist service advisors and mangers with any assigned duties or tasks within the department.
    • Interface with customers and service advisors to identify and sell vehicle repairs and maintenance.
    • Determine need for repairs and maintenance by vehicle inspection and questioning customer, and by researching service history and computer information.
    • Input and maintain vehicle and customer information in computer system.
    • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
    • Identify, recommend and support opportunities for methods/process improvement.
    • Ensure a clean and safe work area.
    • Work with customer to identify required maintenance.
    • Advise customers on necessary/suggested services.
    • Offer additional services and repairs to customers.
    • Identify, recommend and support opportunities for methods/process improvement.
    • Ensure that each and every customer encounter is consistent.
    • Provide attention to detail on all service work.
    • Report any service issues or maintenance to the Production Manager.
    • Each service order should be done efficiently and comply with all dealership policies.
    • Maintain proper use of all equipment within the service department.
    • Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
    • Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
    • Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
