Registered Nurse License RN
Previous Experience Required:
Nursing experience and experience with children preferred.
Schedule:
The School Nurse works 185 days per year. Daily work schedule follows the student schedule, except when emergencies occur. 7.5 hours per day starting at 7:15 or 7:30.
General Description of Position Duties:
The purpose of this role is to support the overall health and wellbeing of staff, students and visitors within a school.
This includes record keeping, dispensing medication, managing acute and chronic health concerns and conditions and teaching good health practices.Knowledge and/or Essential Skills:
Specific Duties and Tasks:
Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired: Must have a good work ethic, be a self-starter, team oriented, have good customer relations skills, and enjoy working around children.
