    Growing Maritime/O&G services company is looking for an experienced Benefits Analyst to join the group on an extended project basis

    Focus includes:

    • Handle employee benefits related issues including employee requests, requests for assistance and education, issue resolution and invoicing
    • Assists and support new employees with benefits enrollment, and conduct new hire benefits orientation when needed
    • Monitors vendor performance and escalates issues appropriately. Assists in the development of vendor performance metrics, evaluation and quality improvement initiatives
    • Understands and interprets benefit regulations (ERISA, PPACA, and HIPAA), ensure compliance with updates and changes, support government and organizational reporting and filings
    • Help support documentation efforts to ensure processes are streamlined and followed
    • Contributes to content development and delivery for annual open enrollment, new hire, and life event communications as well as targeted communications throughout the year
    • Assists with annual open enrollment process including plan implementation, systems testing, and communications. Creates and reviews employee benefit communication materials. Participates in employee enrollment meetings as needed.
    • Works with internal groups and vendors to support system testing, data interfaces in/out of the system, development of test plans, and the execution of plan changes and reporting. Implement and test benefit plan changes and new programs.

    Targeting candidates with:

    • 3 years of benefits experience in a similar role with some international experience (supporting Europe, Middle East, Africa, etc)
    • Bachelor's in Human Resources strongly preferred, CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) designation huge
    • Strong technical knowledge of ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) is a MUST
    • People person who enjoys serving and supporting others, analytical with great presentation and communication (written and verbal)
    • Well-versed in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required, Oracle Advanced Benefits is a HUGE
    • Offering $35-40/hr depending on experience, 6 month consulting opportunity with potential to go full time
    • HYBRID schedule (M/F-remote, T/W/Th-in office. Interfacing with global teams so prefers a morning person open to being online 6am-7am daily)
