Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Plate dishes attractively, ensuring presentation aligns with restaurant quality expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout shifts
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions when needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Experience working in fine dining or upscale establishments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is advantageous but not required
