    Position Summary


    Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and coordinating certain aspects of monthly closing and related reporting and operational reporting for the Peanut Shelling.

    The candidate will be charged with challenging the status quo, improving processes, providing accurate and timely information.

    Position Responsibilities

    Assist with month-end close to include journal entries, account reconciliations, process order closure and allocations.
    Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly results.
    Support Controller with reviews of perpetual inventory, physical inventories, and reporting and analysis of variances.
    Provide audit support to both internal and external auditors.
    Perform cost accounting for process costing including absorption rates, cost estimates, product set-up, activity rates, and SKU profitability.

    Assist with the sites' financial reporting including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, operational, Spending and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Dashboard, and various cost projects.

    Prepare annual property tax returns and reconciles them with the books.
    Assist with capital expenditure setup, tracking and management.
    Provide support in sales analysis and reconciliation of Sold Position, absorption of cost drivers, and Exposure report.
    Perform ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    Degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
    Four (4) years of finance experience is required.
    Experience with SAP, Tableau, and other integrated reporting solutions is preferred.
    Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
    Advanced Excel Skills
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
    Excellent teamwork, relationship building, and coordinative skills are required. Must be able to work with diverse team across geographies.
    Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.
