- Participate in the software, hardware, and test plan development for calibrating and measuring performance of Infinera's coherent pluggable products based on Photonics Integrated Circuits (PIC)s
- Define and configure required test instrumentation and hardware
- Partner with product team to author, debug, and refine novel, efficient optical calibration sequences to drive capability and performance of the optical transceiver module.
- Co-develop with firmware, DSP teams on feature introduction
- Develop software to fully automate the test execution
- Partner with engineering staff to define and implement detailed testability requirements
- Provide fault isolation and identification capability to the design and manufacturing technical staff
- Help drive end to end test yield improvements and test time reduction efforts
- MS in science or engineering required, PhD desired (Physics, Optics, Electrical Eng)
- Previous experience in developing test and measurement solutions for electrical and optical components or subsystems is beneficial
- Proficient in writing scalable software a requirement.
- Experience with object oriented languages required. VB.Net exposure is a plus.
- Familiarity with quadrature amplitude modulation theory is a requirement
- Experience with testing and characterizing photonic circuits containing I/Q modulators and demodulators
- Hands on experience with optical and electrical test and measurement equipment including programmable optical power meters, attenuators, and switches, optical spectrum analyzers, digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes
- Experience with Serdes, electrical RF testing, and FEC operation are all pluses
- Attention to detail and willingness to produce detailed test plan documentation
- Experience with digital and mixed signal IC testing is beneficial

Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):
$100, $187,200.00
At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
