    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring a travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with experience in adult and pediatric echocardiography, including complex cases, for a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital.

    Responsibilities

    • 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • On-call requirement of 3 weekends per contract for stat echos
    • Must work one holiday during the 13-week contract
    • Adult and pediatric echocardiography setting; fetal echo experience preferred
    • Procedures include bubble studies, imaging with contrast agents, portable studies, RVIT, RVOT, M-Mode, scanning complex anomalies, and scanning post-surgical repairs
    • Experience with isolation precautions and procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings required
    • Epic EMR; experience preferred
    • Uses Philips cardiac imaging equipment
    • May float within the Echo Team
    • Perform a broad range of echocardiographic procedures on adult and pediatric patients, including complex cardiac anomalies and post-surgical cases
    • Work within a nationally recognized Cardiovascular Institute offering advanced cardiac imaging supported by state-of-the-art Philips technology
    • The facility is a Level I Trauma Center (adult and pediatric), Magnet-designated for nursing excellence, and an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center
    • Major referral center for complex cardiac cases with hybrid operating rooms and active clinical trials in innovative cardiac care
    • The facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
    • All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
    • Local candidates are not accepted for this position

    Requirements

    • ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
    • Current BLS required
    • Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    • Proficiency in adult and pediatric echocardiography, including fetal echo (preferred)
    • Experience with TEE preferred
    • Skills in bubble studies, contrast imaging, portable studies, RVIT/RVOT, M-Mode, and post-surgical/complex anomaly scanning required
    • Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred
    • Epic EMR experience preferred
    • Candidates must meet the facility's distance radius requirement to be eligible for this position
    • Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
    • Two professional references required for consideration
    • License required if applicable
