Are you a driven and dedicated individual passionate about delivering top-quality eyecare services? We are seeking a motivated Optician to join our dynamic practice.

Job Description

As an Optician with us, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses. Your responsibilities will include interpreting prescriptions, guiding customers in frame and lens selections, ensuring proper frame adjustments for optimal fit, skillfully fitting lenses into frames, educating patients on eyewear usage and care, managing administrative tasks, and efficiently handling repairs and maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Able to operate a manual lensometer
Check in all incoming orders to ensure quality and accuracy
Assist patients in selecting frames providing best fit for based on facial features and eyeglass prescription
Educate and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit patient needs
Accurately collect measurements needed to accurately process eyewear order
Dispense patient orders, adjust patient eyewear, repair as needed if possible
Provide exceptional customer service at all times to both external and internal customers

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum one year optical experience

Other Skills and Abilities:

Reliable transportation
Desire to continue to gain industry knowledge and training
Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Commitment to work to meet the needs of the business
Exceptional customer service skills

Office Hours are as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Thursday: Closed
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
