    Summary



    This position is located at one of the various Indian Health Service Hospitals or Clinics under the Navajo Area Office. The primary purpose is to provided professional nursing care and post anesthesia care to patients who have under gone a broad range of surgical procedures. Managing patients through all phases of recovery.



    Duties

    • Functions as Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and procedure nurse performing professional nursing duties to provide immediate and ongoing Post-Operative assessments and teaching for patients and families
    • Selects, prepares, and processes supplies, instruments and special equipment for specific procedures; anticipating possible complications.
    • Must demonstrate the ability to administer procedural sedation.
    • Meets the needs of the surgeon and anesthesia personnel by assisting with induction and problems during the course of surgery.
    • Maintain certifications in Basic Left Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
    **Note: This is an Open Continuous Announcement; applicants will be referred when vacancies occur.
