- Understand the usage and operation of test equipment (Government provided and DWT owned)
- Operation of test cycles, plans, and procedures to meet customer and drawing requirements
- Collect, record, and analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Summarize findings and report results to relevant stakeholders
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement solutions and prevent recurrence
- Independently perform test set-up and operation of Hipot and all other ATE's
- Maintain and organize equipment to ensure efficient reliable operation and testing
- Maintains and communicates an up-to-date schedule of testing and down time
- Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
- Provide training, share expertise, best practices, and lessons learned to junior technicians and new team members
- Maintains a well-organized clean work area and meet OSHA requirements
- Ability to present self professionally and successfully work with vendors
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Documentation control responsibilities, including maintaining work order traveler documentation and product test acceptance records.
- Promote teamwork mentality, help maintain a clean, friendly, respectful and safe work space.
- Knowledge electronics test methods, techniques and documentation.
- Strong technical skills in electrical, mechanical, or other relevant disciplines.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills including: word processing, MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Experience in reviewing documentation and testing verification requirements
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality standards
- Previous work experience with military products and/or DOD is a plus
- Experience with MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings as well as schematics.
- Must be able to use electronic test equipment including Digital Volt Meter, Power supplies, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting skills down to component level.
- Relevant certifications such as IPC certifications for electronics testing may be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with computer systems and software applications used for data analysis and documentation.
- Proven experience as a test technician or similar role, with progressively increasing responsibilities
- High School Diploma
- 5 years or more of testing experience in vibration, thermal and isolation resistance.
