    Licensed Engineer with a strong background in civil design with an emphasis on water and wastewater infrastructure.

    The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be highly organized, a good problem solver, efficient, have a good attention to detail and be a team player.

    The role of the position will focus on planning, design and construction management of water and wastewater infrastructure.


    Duties/Responsibilities:
    Lead multidisciplinary technical consulting engineering teams executing the planning, design and construction management of water and wastewater projects.
    Manage multiple projects, schedules, and budgets.
    Deliver complete design and project bid packages.
    Prepare internal layout and preliminary planning and design of systems.
    Review and critique reports, plans, and specifications
    Prepare internal cost estimates for budgeting.
    Review and critique consultant scopes of work and invoices as well as manage consultant communications.
    Assesses infrastructure needs based on current demands and projected future growth.
    Conduct cost-benefit analyses and value engineering for projects.
    Effectively communicate with construction management department and contractors utilizing different construction delivery methods
    Effectively communicate with governmental agencies for permitting and approval of various systems
    Ensure infrastructure complies with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and codes.
    Provide operations with support and subject matter expertise on operational issues.
    Maintains knowledge and subject matter expertise on latest technologies.

    Required Skills/Abilities:
    Experience with wells and water treatment, distribution, and storage systems
    Experience with wastewater treatment, collection, and pumping systems
    Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, computer-aided Design (CAD) software, and other relevant analytical, scientific, or monitoring software.

    Strong leadership, people, and communication skills
    Knowledge of current Arizona water and wastewater regulations and the ability to effectively communicate with multiple agencies.

    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
    Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona
    Related water and wastewater experience

    • Prefer prior consulting engineering design experience of municipal water and wastewater projects.
    Prefer prior construction management and field experience
