    About Our Client

    A notable Nonprofit Organization is seeking a Total Awards Specialist to join their team in Manhattan on a hybrid work model schedule.

    Job Description

  • This role is a key part of the Total Rewards team and works on cross-function initiatives with health and welfare benefits management
  • Manages all daily administrative responsibility of 401 (k) planning, deferral updates, payroll, funding, HRIS maintenance, beneficiary updates, etc
  • Explains and communicates retirement benefit plan policies, procedures and legal requirements to new hires and all eligible employees
  • Conducts retirement and benefits-related calculations and reporting
  • The Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for strategic planning to attract, motivate, and retain top talent through competitive compensation and benefits, as well as wellness initiatives
  • Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to compensation
    Performs other related work as required

    The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university in business administration, human resources or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience, including experience in retirement plans, compensation, HR systems and data analytic; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing employment, compensation, benefit and other HR programs
  • General knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures within all HR disciplines
  • Advanced Excel and HR systems aptitude required
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Mathematical skills and strong attention to detail; proven accuracy with data and numbers
  • Knowledge of common competitive pay bench marking practices and resources
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
