    Phillips Edison's operating platform provides retail services including acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of grocery-anchored retail centers.

    What you'll do:


    The Accounts Receivable Intern will report to the Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst and will work with other team members in person in our Cincinnati, OH office.

    Assist the Accounts Receivable Analyst with recording daily bank transactions.
    Review cash applications on tenant accounts and identify any issues.
    Research

    tenant/CSS (Customer Solutions Specialist) inquiries and complete application of payments and/or credits.
    Reconcile tenants' ledgers with the assistance of the Accounts Receivable Analyst
    Develops and maintains cross-functional relationships within the organization.
    Assists with ad hoc reporting and other special projects as assigned.

    What you'll learn:
    Gain a better understanding of the role accounts receivables plays in the broader scope of the company.
    Gain experience with our MRI system.
    Further develop time management skills and the ability to work in a high-volume detail-oriented environment.
    Learn how to effectively communicate with different departments in the organization.

    What we're looking for:
    A current undergraduate student who is able to work full-time and in person during the semester.

    A current university student enrolled in a degree seeking program studying Accounting or another business-related field with a minimum GPA of 3.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
    Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high-volume environment.
    Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team (as needed)

    Qualifications

    Education

    Preferred

    Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field.
