Sanitation Associate Lead

Pay Rate:
$20.94/hourLocation: Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Duties:
Follows all safety procedures and works as safely as possible at all times.

Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, conveyors, and other processing and manufacturing equipment using water, chemicals, and compressed air.

Cleans screens, drains, and filters. Scrubs the exterior of processing tanks. Cleans and scrubs floors in the plant. Transports trash and waste to the disposal area. Operates industrial truck to transport materials within plant. Starts pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery and piping. Performs CIPs (Clean in Place) on various processing equipment. Operates Floor Scrubber, Baler, Foamer, Pressure Washer, and other equipment in the normal course of completing duties. Trains Sanitation Associates. Provides guidance in the work duties of Sanitation Associates. Maintains a clean work area. Maintains a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management. All other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers. Knowledge of handling and working with sanitation chemicals such as caustic and acids. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as working in a team. Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product. Forklift certification required. Sanitation experience preferred. Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required. Must be proactive. Must have regular, and punctual attendance. Must have a cooperative attitude. Must have the ability to follow up. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Minimum of 6 months of work experience. High school diploma or G.E.D. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
