Mission Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest in partnership with our community provides a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that supports keeping families together and reduces stress during a child s serious illness or injury RMHC-UM operates five locations in Minnesota four in the Twin Cities and one in Duluth MN and provides complimentary lodging meals and support to thousands of families every year Job Summary The Family Services Manager Northland play a vital role in continuing our mission of providing a welcoming and comforting environment for families who are in midst of a healthcare crisis Family Services Managers are needed to provide program services and to manage operations during the weekends holidays 365 days a year Primary Responsibilities Guest Program Management Apply guidelines to determining eligibility communicates with hospital staff family registration management of family dynamics Provide oversight of cleaning ensure it is maintained defined standards cleanliness maintenance Work closely with volunteers facilities cleaning staff common space guest room turnovers efficient complete Support Volunteers Cooks for Kids CFK Program Development Initiatives Greet tour educate volunteers about program services positive experience while providing services RMHC Follow up with CFK groups thank them participating coordinate schedule another date serve Outreach development potential partnership Engage conversations donors volunteers further RMHC-UM s mission Expected Hours Work This part time occasional position hours primarily weekends holidays occasional weekday shifts Family Services Managers schedules flexible consist working one weekend month totaling hours weekend rotation eight-hour shifts Family must available commit working minimum three shifts month holiday shifts year respond on call requests coverage needs Physical Requirements Perform cleaning tasks sanitizing vacuuming sweeping changing sheets mopping general cleaning duties when needed Able lift pounds prolonged periods standing walking throughout House Able bend lift stretch climb clean family rooms common areas Further details duties responsibilities assigned scope position changed necessitated business notice Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest equal opportunity employer at-will employer qualified applicants receive consideration employment regard race color religion sex national origin disability status protected veteran status law affirmative action employees treated employment characteristics
