    Description

    Position: SEC Reporting Accountant

    Location: Fort Worth - Onsite

    A top client of mine is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SEC Reporting Accountant to join their finance team at a pivot moment of their growth In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation and filing of the companys financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). As an integral member of our team, you will collaborate with various departments to gather financial data, analyze financial statements, and ensure compliance with SEC regulations and accounting standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A for quarterly and annual filings with the SEC (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc.).
    2. Coordinate and lead the internal review process for SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information.
    3. Stay updated on changes in SEC regulations, accounting standards (GAAP), and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
    4. Work closely with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit and quarterly reviews, including preparing audit schedules and responding to inquiries.
    5. Assist in the preparation of financial data and analysis for earnings releases, investor presentations, and other external communications.
    6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and investor relations, to provide support and guidance on financial reporting matters.
    7. Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, including process improvements and system implementations related to financial reporting.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
    2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or industry, with a focus on SEC reporting.
    3. Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
    4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively.
    5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Net Suite, SAP).
    6. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
