    To achieve this goal, the Hardware, Infrastructure Management, and Fundamentals Engineering (HIFE) team is instrumental in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardware manufacturing, improving the planning process, quality, delivery, scale and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage a high-performance United States (US) based fleet management team responsible for customer experience Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Develop and execute technical programs related to cloud computing, including infrastructure deployment, application migration, and fleet management.
    • Lead development and implementation of end-to-end debug solutions for scale systems.
    • Lead debug collaboration projects with hardware, firmware and software teams that drive root cause analysis.
    • Accountable for leading execution forums and driving teams to meet debug KPIs.
    • Develop the site through hiring, mentoring and developing best-in-class cloud computing engineers.
    • Manage a team to lead the debug of complex problems based on technical and business understanding.
    • Develop world class at scale debug methodologies, test strategies and test routines in data center solutions.
    • Solve problems relating to mission critical debug services and build automation to drive debug efficiency.
    • Use data to effectively communicate with partners and stakeholders progress on debug deliverables.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • 10 years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 7 years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3 years of technical engineering experience.
    • Experience debugging systems and methodologies used in datacenters, modern computer architectures or System on Chip features like virtualization technologies or major architectural blocks like Memory Controllers or Central Processing Units or Storage or Networking solutions for Cloud or Datacenter infrastructures.
    • Experience leading technical debug deep dives on potential software or hardware bugs in large scale datacenter infrastructure, cloud native systems, or virtualization technologies.
    • 3 years of people management experience.

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • 15 years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 10 years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 8 years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of technical engineering experience.
    Hardware Engineering M- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
