    Job Summary

    EnterpriseDB is looking for an IT Data Engineer to add to its growing team. In this role you will be responsible for designing integrations, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses, used for storing and analyzing data from multiple sources such as Netsuite, Salesforce, Ultipro and others. Your role will involve working closely with data analysts, marketing and sales operations, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure the data warehouse is able to provide the necessary data in a timely and efficient manner.

    What your impact will be:

    • Provide a consultative approach to data integration and data storage solutions in support of EDB's key business and analytics processes
    • Partner tightly with EDB's product development team, providing routine feedback aligned to core data platform needs and capabilities
    • Develop and maintain data warehouse architecture, including data modeling, database design, and ETL processes
    • Implement Postgres-based database / data warehouse solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices
    • Design, develop, and optimize data integration processes that extract data from various sources and load it into the data warehouse using industry leading data integration platforms such as Dell Boomi.
    • Identify and resolve data quality issues that may impact data analysis and reporting
    • Work with IT teams to integrate the data warehouse with other systems, such as business intelligence and data visualization tools with an emphasis on Tableau Cloud.
    • Create and maintain documentation on data warehouse processes, including data dictionaries, metadata, and standard operating procedures
    • Monitor data warehouse performance and proactively identify areas for optimization
    • Collaborate with other teams to design and implement data governance policies, data security protocols, and disaster recovery procedures
    • Stay up to date with emerging data warehousing technologies and trends to ensure the data warehouse remains current and relevant

    What you will bring:

    • Strong knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
    • Direct experience building and maintaining databases in PostgreSQL
    • Solid experience with Integration and ETL tools and processes, using Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, Zapier, Jitterbit or similar tools
    • Understanding of data governance, data security, and disaster recovery best practices
    • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages, such as Python or Java
    • Working knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

    What will give you an edge:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehousing
    • Database administrator skills in PostgreSQL
