The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is the transportation planning, financing and coordinating agency for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. MTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the state designated Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area. MTC is hiring for one part-time Finance Temporary position for a year-round assignment. This position is for an aspiring professional looking for an opportunity to gain professional work experience and training in an array of finance and accounting fields specifically in the areas of Accounts Payable and possibly Accounts Receivable.
This position will be working with MTC's Finance Operational Accounting Section and is a part-time position with a maximum of 999 hours per fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). The individual can work one year and up to one additional year after graduation; must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and up to 20 hours per week (hours can be split during the week), with the opportunity to work more hours during the summer or school breaks. MTC is a professional workplace and business casual attire is expected while at work.
All employees at MTC are classified as Disaster Service Workers.
