    A Lead Software Integration Engineer at STR will supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers dedicated to developing cutting-edge vulnerability research technologies.

    Candidates must have the qualifications necessary to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

    Our work targets the boundary between the digital and physical worlds by creating models of physical systems, probing interfaces for weaknesses, and reverse engineering software.


    Duties will include:


    Working as part of a small, focused team to architect, develop, implement, and test distributed applications using modular software design principlesImplementing composable software components in Python, C, C++, and/or MATLAB software processing chainsDelivering quality software through the practice of unit-level and system-level tests and verification, as well as bug/issue tracking and resolutionDeveloping scalable integrated software systems using virtualization tools and networking/messaging technologiesEnabling ease and speed of deployment with use of automation scripts, software infrastructure management toolsDeveloping and testing integrated software systems to meet speed and scalability requirementsPackaging software for easy of configuration control, delivery, and deploymentParticipating in laboratory and field tests to collect and analyze real-world data for software verification, validation, and improvementCommunicating technical foundations of software designs and implementations through reports and presentationsRequired skills:U.S.

    Citizen with an Active Top Security (TS)


    ClearanceBS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 10 years of experience (or an MS with 7 years)Proficiency in PythonExpertise with C and/or C++Proficient with virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, QEMU), compiler technologies (e.g., GCC, Clang), software scripting and build automation tools (e.g., bash, make)Experience with network communications frameworks (e.g.

    , TCP/IP sockets)Applied skills with collaborative source code management and software engineering tools (Git, Subversion, Gitlab)Desired Skills:
