    Description of the position:

    • Manage the review of and provides comments to the document control procedures to specifically address the document management processes required by the Program and Amtrak (where necessary). The system must provide a reliable method for the handling, tracking, storage, and retrieval of documents that can be reviewed and updated throughout performance of the Program.

    Requirements:

    Document Controllers:

    • Mid-Level or Senior
    • 1 dedicated individual is preferred
    • Electronic document management system (Aconex, Unifier, or similar) experience is a must
    • Acquire all permissions to and administer Amtrak's project management software tool that integrates project management, controls, and reporting for each Program Contract with applicable requirements including Program Contract costs, management, controls, reporting, schedule, change management, claim administration, funding, compliance, and otherwise;
    • Draft, review, and/or revise project documentation and written communications with the Contractor and Designer of Record;
    • Enter all record documents into the electronic document management system as applicable;
    • Follow up on responses to close out submittals, and upload in the electronic document management system. Proactively identify any expected delay or actual delay in submittals or responses (from the Contractor, the Amtrak or other agencies) and alert Amtrak. Initiate action to resolve issues; and
    • Provide the support required to transition from the one document management system and all associated processes to a new system if requested by Amtrak.
