    A Polysomnographic Technologist/Technician works under the general supervision of the Sleep Center Manager to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.

    A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technologist/Technician and may provide supervision of other staff.
    Perform all types of sleep disorder testing, including set-up and performance of nocturnal polysomnograms (PSGs)
    Operate and calibrate sleep equipment
    Operate software used to record and evaluate sleep/wake pathology
    Apply and remove electrodes and other equipment used in conjunction with polysomnography
    Clean and disinfect equipment placed on patients on a daily/shift basis
    High School graduate or equivalent required
    Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association, prior to permanent hire date
    Minimum 3 years full time sleep tech experience
    The Sleep Tech is able to independently perform job functions
    Key data into patient electronic medical records
    Able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language
    Computer literate with entry level working knowledge of Microsoft Suites; Computer literate with entry level working knowledge of Philips Respironics Alice 6/G3 sleep software
    Make outbound and receive inbound telephone calls, and fax correspondence, as needed
    Inventory and stock medical supplies and materials
    Attends required meetings, training in-services, and participates in committees as required
    Continuing Medical Education in accordance with their field of medicine
    Adult and Pediatric Basic Life Support Certification
