Join LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, as an Junior Verification and Validation Tester and play a critical supporting role in the testing of systems and software under the guidance of experienced QA and engineering staff. You will assist in executing test plans, documenting results, and contributing to the validation of system requirements in support of our aviation-related projects.

Responsibilities:

• Support formal system and software testing activities as part of a team.
• Assist in reviewing user requirements and help prepare test cases under supervision.
• Execute test procedures and accurately document results.
• Participate in defect tracking and retesting activities using test management tools (e.g., Jira).
• Help maintain test documentation and ensure adherence to testing standards and procedures.
• Work with team members during transition and testing phases to support system evaluations at various Air Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs) and Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) sites.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant internships or coursework may be considered in place of formal work experience.

Qualifications:

• Up to 2 years of experience in a related role.
• Familiarity with software/system testing concepts and life cycle.
• Exposure to test documentation, such as test cases and defect logs.
• Basic understanding of system development methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a structured testing environment.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from more experienced personnel.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to or interest in FAA systems, aviation, or related federal testing environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Selenium, or similar test automation platforms.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and basic troubleshooting techniques.

Work Requirements:

• Work location: WJHTC - Onsite
• Work Hours: Normal Business Hours
• Travel: Less than 10%
• Physical requirements:
  • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
  • Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
  • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
  • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.

Compensation (Pay Bands)

Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40-hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and are just one component of the LST's total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
