- Synthesize polymer particles using established chemistries
- Participate in process optimization development and scale-ups for routine production
- Perform analytical characterization of polymeric particles using specialty equipment and instrumentation including ion-chromatography particle sizing and surface area instruments
- Analyze data derive conclusions document findings write SOPs and prepare reports
- Present written and oral reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups with RD and manufacturing divisions
- Producing many of the resins that are key to the success of Thermo Fishers Ion Chromatography portfolio
- Follow all EHS safety requirements participate in safety improvement activities and carry out to ISO9001 guidelines and corporate quality policy
- Bachelors degree - Chemistry
- Hands on experience in the Chemistry laboratory wet chemistry
- Ability to summarize and present experimental results and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to lift the weights up to 40 lbs and meet all physical demands to work in chemical laboratory
