    Enjoy the rewards and challenges of workingat St. Edmond's Home for Children. St. Edmond's is a residential care facility located at 320 S. Roberts Road, Rosemont, PA We provide an exceptional holistic outcome-oriented plan of care for children with intellectual and physical disabilities.

    This is a part-time position working approximately 30 hours bi-weekly. This position requires working Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:30pm to 7:30pm.

    Primary Purpose of Job:

    This position will work with our full-time Speech Therapist to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services in communication and dysphagia; to work within a therapy team framework to develop communication treatment plans and feeding protocols, to train staff in these areas and provide hearing intervention while working within a pediatric residential ICFMR facility with children and young adults who demonstrate complex communication needs and medical conditions.

    Job Specific Competencies/Essential Functions:

    1. Evaluate and treat all types of pediatric communication disorders and dysphagia issues.
    2. Develop and implement therapeutic interventions for communication and feeding protocols.
    3. Train staff to implement and then monitor these programs.
    4. Coordinate goals with school therapists.
    5. Be knowledgeable in all areas of alternative/augmentative communication and current device use.
    6. Write annual assessments and 90-day notes on each resident in a timely manner.
    7. May attend Team assessments to coordinate goals and program planning.
    8. Knowledgeable of policies and proceduresregarding HIPAA, Confidentiality and Corporate Compliance.
    Other Job Functions:

    May accompany residents on relevant medical appointments such as GI, swallow studies, and audiological evaluations.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Masters of Speech/Language Pathology
    • Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Speech/Language Pathologist.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA CCC/SLP.
    • Strong Candidate for Clinical Fellowship Year will be considered.
