    Overview:
    This position is responsible for providing engineering support for water/wastewater utility projects

    Responsibilities:


    Provide design calculations, technical reports, permitting and engineering plans as well as specifications for the design of water and wastewater facilities, including distribution and collection systems, lift stations and treatment facilitiesAnalyze and design water distribution systems, to include demand projections and extended period simulationsAnalyze and design waterwater collection systems, to include demand projections and lift station designPrepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates as neededQualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or universityProfessional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas15 or more years' experience managing substantial water and wastewater projects from conception to completion10 or more years experience managing municipal utility district clientsExtensive knowledge of design and construction practices for waterlines, storage tanks, pump stations, wastewater lines, lift stations and forcemains.

    Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment facility design and construction.

    Proven ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written skillsProven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, municipal utility districts, public agency officials and community leadersActively involved in professional associations and civic organizationsMust be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through FridayAll qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
