Our client is a leading global investment manager. They seek an AVP, Legal Entity Accountant to join their Los Angeles, CA office.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure investment legal entities are being accounted for according to legal and tax documentsAnalyze deal structure charts and translate that information into fund flow schedulesIdentify tax holdback requirements before transferring proceeds upstream to the parent fund entitiesVerify appropriate investment funding allocations are used for multi-fund deals or fundsAssess calculations of allocations by partner class, including identifying specific entity expensesReview and approve wires for investment fundings, entity seedings, and upstreamManage quarterly and annual books for the various investment legal entitiesCoordinate with funds internal tax group and external tax preparers to support tax filings and reportingReconcile and report on any blocker notes or third-party debt that may be part of deal structuresTrain our Legal Entity Accounting team on preparing and maintaining the books and recordsRequirements9-11 years of legal accounting experiencePrivate equity experience is strongly preferredPublic or private (Big 4 preferred) backgroundPartnership taxation experience preferredCPA strongly preferredGeneva/GWI experience is a plusJob ID # 65503Tagged as: Hybrid Remote/Office
