Job summary

The Employee Health and Safety Specialist will coordinate employee health safety matters with various departments including Occupational Medicine Worker's Compensation and Benefits Infection Prevention Legal Affairs/Risk Management Institute for Excellence Human Resource Information System Human Resources Plant Engineering Facilities Design Construction Accreditation Safety Regulatory Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive reviews of federal state standards applicable to healthcare/hospital working environment designs compliance plans assigning responsibilities for safety protocol development where necessary.
  • Serves as chair of Delivery Network Employee Health Safety Committee provides weekly monthly quarterly annual employee injury/illness reports required by Worker's compensation Commission State CT TJC other regulatory agencies departments.
