We are seeking an experienced Marine Travel Lift Operator
Job duties include:
- Hauling and launching vessels from 20'-100' in length using our 100 Ton or 80 Ton travel lifts considering safety first for people and property.
- Assessing the need for underwater assistance (divers) for strap placement or obstruction identification
- Monitoring weight scales and logging values
- Pressure washing vessel bottoms
- Securing vessels in yard with properly placed blocks and jack stands
- Connecting vessels to shore power (30A/50A/100A) safely and appropriately
- Moving vessels to and from haul out area safely
- Monitoring machinery daily for maintenance needs
- Operate forklift and provide rigging assistance to perform lifting duties as needed. Including, but not limited to: Engines, generators, transmissions, life rafts, davits, large hatches, etc.
- Secondary duties as directed by management, which can include performing bottom prep, painting, light mechanical, etc.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating Marine Travel Lifts and handling vessels safely (20'–100' preferred)
- Strong understanding of vessel blocking, strap placement, and yard safety procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA standards related to heavy equipment and material handling
- Ability to operate forklifts and assist with rigging operations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- High attention to detail with strong safety awareness
- Ability to lift 70 lbs regularly and work in outdoor marine conditions
- Must pass background screening, physical, and drug test
Travel lift manufacturer training or documented lift experience strongly preferred.
