Job Title: Adjunct Instructor in Organic Chemistry

The Raritan Valley Community College is seeking an experienced educator to teach a part-time course in the Science & Engineering department.

This instructor will be responsible for introducing students to the fundamental principles of Organic Chemistry, emphasizing the role of structure, reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, spectroscopy, and synthetic methods.

Course topics include chemistry of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, nucleophilic substitution, elimination reactions, and spectrometric methods (IR, NMR, MS).

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Organic Chemistry and excellent teaching skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $60 per hour, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field and experience teaching science courses at the community college level.
