We are on the lookout for a meticulous Software Developer Analyst with strong software engineering expertise and a desire to contribute to pivotal acquisition projects. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of avionics systems, components, and software. Note: This position requires a daily on-site presence at NAVAIR Station Pax River in St. Mary's County, MD.

Clearance: An Interim ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is necessary to obtain a clearance.

Requirements: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in:

• Managing software engineering and development initiatives.
• Working with software requirements, design, process management, open architecture principles, integration, and testing.
• Developing software systems designs, conducting tests (including interoperability), and formulating plans.
• Effective communication with software program leaders, engineers, developers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Naval Air Station Patuxent River headquarters, contractor personnel, and other government entities.
• Reviewing data, reports, studies, designs, design documentation, tests, and equipment to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Conducting technical reviews to assess changes to contract-required services or equipment.
• Evaluating usability of items not meeting contract specifications.
• Overseeing the direction, management, and coordination of technical efforts.
• Advising on technical matters.
• Monitoring research, analysis, design, development, testing, and manufacturing operations.
• Providing real-time access to subject matter experts for problem-solving and resolution.
• Offering technical oversight into Program Increment (PI) priority workloads.
• Reviewing and providing technical input on proposed changes to processes and software development plans.
• Functioning as a vital member of an integrated team.
• Utilizing risk management, configuration management, data management, trade-off analysis, technical performance metrics, technical reviews, modeling and simulation, and earned value management techniques to support various technical projects.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of military avionics systems, components, and software design attributes.
• Familiarity with weapon system and avionics systems engineering procedures, processes, practices, and tools.
• Understanding of DoD software acquisition processes.
• DAWIA certifications.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Data Science, or Operations Research preferred).

Compensation: At SimVentions, compensation is influenced by numerous factors, including candidate experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract requirements. The projected annual compensation range for this position is $79,000 - $120,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this role and is one aspect of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
