    Description

    Emergency Department Nurse

    This position requires a registered nurse with experience in the emergency department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Summary:

    • Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting.
    • Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs.
    • Communicates with Emergency Department physicians about changes in patient's status.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated.
    • Evaluates patients' pain levels and educates them on pain management techniques.
    • Monitors hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interprets results.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring and identifies dysrhythmias.

    Professional Requirements:

    • Meets dress code standards for the department.
    • Completes all mandatory education within given timeframe.
    • Maintains regulatory requirements.
