    Description

    Cornea Consultants is hiring a full-time experienced Ophthalmic Technician / Scribe to join their team.

    At Cornea Consultants, our technicians perform comprehensive work-ups and testing to assist patients before they meet with the doctors. Scribes work closely with both doctors and patients, gaining valuable knowledge in Ophthalmology. We are seeking dynamic individuals to become part of our dedicated team in a bustling Ophthalmology practice that specializes in Cornea, Cataract, Lasik, and FDA-approved Cross-Linking Keratoconus treatments. With present offices in two locations and future expansions on the horizon, you will be part of an exciting team of professionals.

    Ophthalmic Technician / Scribe: Salary is negotiable based on experience.

    Key Duties of an Ophthalmic Technician:

    • Prepare examination and treatment rooms
    • Obtain patient histories, conduct vision screenings, perform various eye examinations, administer drops, and assist in minor procedures
    • Perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests such as Visual Fields, OCT, Topography, and Lensometry
    • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of ophthalmic equipment, as well as stocking supplies

    Requirements for Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician:

    • Minimum of two years experience as an Ophthalmic Scribe/ Technician or a graduate from an accredited Ophthalmic Technician Program
    • Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer operations and EHR systems

    Physical Requirements for Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician:

    • Ability to commute to an urban location
    • Able to move around an office environment, lift up to 40 lbs, and work at a desk
