    • Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
    • Start Date: September 30, 2024
    • End Date: December 30, 2024
    • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
    • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
    • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
    • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880 - $2020 per week
    • Patient Ratio: 6:1
    • Floating: May float to Adult and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Units

    Registered Nurse Qualifications

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or equivalent crisis prevention training required
    • Experience with Meditech electronic health records preferred
    • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities

    • Assess and care for patients and families with a range of behavioral and psychiatric health needs, from uncomplicated to highly complex cases
    • Identify deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status
    • Develop and implement person-centered nursing care plans, prioritizing patient and family needs
    • Engage patients and families in establishing care goals and treatment plans
    • Demonstrate technical competence and resourcefulness in clinical care
    • Stay current with organizational policies and healthcare procedures
    • Float as needed to Adult and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Units
