  • Job Summary
  • Reports to the Administrative Director of Insurance and Risk Management and conducts and documents investigation of adverse medical events that occur in the CoxHealth clinics and rural hospitals for purposes of evaluating liability exposure to CoxHealth. Conducts medical chart reviews and on-site investigations including interviews of employees and patients in order to respond to claims of medical negligence and miscellaneous complaints of care. On litigated cases, is responsible for coordinating communication and sharing of resources with Claims and Litigation Manager and outside defense counsel. Coordinate efforts with the Office of Patient Safety, Regulatory Affairs and Office of Patient Experience in responding to adverse events, patient grievances, and billing disputes.

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Experience
  • Required: At least 5 years of clinical experience Preferred: Experience in medical risk management and claims management Preferred: Patient Safety, Risk Management, or litigation experience
