    Description
    This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK.

    The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half).

    All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.


    Working under the supervision of the Wells Intervention Lead, the Wells Intervention Technician performs day to day manual labor and maintenance on equipment and facilities for the Wells Intervention Team.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Attend various technical, developmental and safety training.
    • Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
    • Demonstrate support for the company's HSE management system.
    • Perform manual labor including clean up and stick picking.
    • Perform heavy labor such as layout of hardline pipe and hauling/stacking materials on trailers or skids.
    • Operate Wells service equipment: Loaders, Rig Trucks, Forklifts, Manlifts, Boom Trucks, Lowboys.
    • Perform hydrotesting on hard line or wellheads.
    • Set up Wells Support jobs including Coil jobs, E-Line jobs, Full bore Jobs, Tree replacements, Well Disconnect and Reconnect with various flowback components and pressure equipment.
    • Perform rigging load calculations and proper rigging for lifting operations.
    • Safely climb ladders up to 25' in height.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Able to identify flanges.
    • Knowledge of hardline components and uses.
    • Knowledge of hydro testing.
    • Knowledge of rigging procedures.
    • Demonstrated experience with wellhead components, boltup procedures, flanges, threaded pipe and fittings, and proper safe use of tools.
    • Must be a selfstarter; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work as a part of a team and follow work directions.
    • Able to effectively communicate with fellow workers and alternate.
    • Capable of learning various Worley and client safety and operational procedures and demonstrating required competencies.
    • Sound knowledge of operations and safety policies and procedures.

    While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:


    • Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
    • Must stand throughout evaluation.
    • Aerobic capacity evaluation via 3 Minute step test.
    • Sit and reach and range of motion evaluations.
    • Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
    • Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
    • Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
    • Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
    • Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.
    • Kneel 60 seconds, stand, kneel 60 seconds, stand.
    • Squat 60 seconds.

    Qualifications:


    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and the ability to be insured by Worley's auto insurer.
    • The ability to obtain both Tanker and Hazmat endorsements within 6 months of hire.
    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
    • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
    Preferred

    Qualifications:


    • One (1) years' experience with flange identification, triplex pump, boltup, or basic rigging procedures.
    • One (1) years' experience working in a Wells Intervention environment.
