Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Liaison, a vital role dedicated to fostering strong relationships between medical providers and our organization. In this energetic position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for physicians, clinics, and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Your proactive approach will help expand our network, enhance patient care coordination, and promote our comprehensive range of specialized services. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain professional relationships with physicians, specialists, and healthcare providers to promote our services and programs.
- Educate providers about our clinical offerings, including advanced imaging, outpatient procedures, and specialty care options such as psychiatry, cardiology, or neurology.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to facilitate referrals, patient assessments, and discharge planning processes efficiently.
- Attend medical conferences, community events, and outreach activities to increase awareness of our organization's capabilities.
- Collaborate with hospital departments to streamline communication regarding inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring optimal patient care transitions.
- Maintain detailed records of provider interactions using electronic health record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Gather feedback from providers to identify opportunities for service improvement and new program development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office settings or healthcare sales; familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
- Strong knowledge of EHR systems such as Epic or EMR platforms; experience with clinical documentation is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical services clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrated understanding of various medical specialties including psychiatry, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), endocrinology, pediatrics, and critical care environments.
- Ability to travel within the community or region as needed to meet with providers and attend outreach events.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward building relationships and expanding referral networks.
