    Your Role

    1. Enter patient data into the system, including name, insurance, allergies, doctor, and diagnosis
    2. Fill or dispense products from the pharmacy stock and deliver to patients
    3. Process prescription refills, verifying availability
    4. Maintain awareness of stock levels and order restocking based on minimum inventory levels
    5. Verify product orders received, place stickers on items, and store them on shelves
    6. Monitor expiration dates on drugs in stock, prepare expired stock for return, and process credit invoices
    7. Return or discard dispensed prescriptions to stock if not picked up by patients within 30 days
    8. Complete third-party billing forms and contact providers for prior authorization as needed
    9. Perform other duties as assigned
    10. Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
    • One year's experience in a pharmacy setting preferred
    • Pharmacy Technician license for states of practice or Pharmacy Intern License
    • The ability to travel and have reliable transportation for possible coverage at surrounding Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) sites
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required for Lancaster and Salud clinics only
    • Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Ability to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, and copying
    • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic proficiency with a variety of computer systems including Microsoft Office preferred
    • Basic knowledge of a minimum of one pharmacy software system and ability to learn new systems
    • This job requires a pre-employment drug screen
