Position Summary:
Wraps and displays quality meat department products while providing standard customer service.


Job duties:

• Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact.
• Stocks and rotates meat items, to maintain freshness and quality, removes damaged items from cases
• Packs meat products ontrays, then forwards to wrapping
• Operates wrapping machine, checks it for working order, maintains price integrity
• Completes basic cleaning of department, by washing and sanitizing work tools and area
• Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager

Capabilities:

• Stand for long periods of time, very frequent walking back and forth from meat/seafood warehouse to floor
• Carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 1000 pounds, frequent motions with arms/hands to display products
• Use of proper safety procedures
• Able to listen to directions and follow through independently
• Have good communication and observation skills
• Able to work with a team and independently when needed

Job Skills:

• Previous experience working with the public
• Knowledge of when to pull meat if it does not meet standards
• Working knowledge of different seafood types and cuts of meats required
• Able to manage time well

Environment:

• Air condition while in store, 4050 degrees while working in the meat department, freezer and chill.

Other:
Must be at least 18 years of age to operate machinery
